The Dec. 20 launch in the city was followed by promotions at two Walmart stores there, K-Fish’s promoters said in a press release.
The brand covers 11 categories of seafood products including tuna and abalone. The country has registered the K-Fish trademark in 36 countries such as the US, Japan, and several in Europe.
“We expect the event will help advertise quality South Korean seafood products to Chinese consumers,” said No Jin-kwan, a ministry of Oceans and Fisheries official. “We plan to develop a wide range of K-Fish products, including fresh, frozen and processed foods, to appeal to Chinese consumers.”
