Due to the Covid-19 situation in China, Qingdao City officials recently announced a prohibition on mass gatherings such as trade shows. This prohibition is in effect from September 10 to October 31.
As a result, and after extensive consultations with the Ministry of Agriculture and Qingdao City officials, it will be necessary to briefly postpone the 26th annual China Fisheries & Seafood Expo. The new dates for the show are November 9-11, 2022.
It is the goal of CFSE organizers, as always, to produce a productive, professional show. Even with this brief postponement, the organizers remain confident CFSE will be a successful, well attended event.
We recognize that the postponement of CFSE may result in significant inconveniences for our exhibitors. Please understand the decision to postpone CFSE was our best available option given the current restrictions in China.
The move-in dates for exhibitors are now November 4-8. All the current work at organizing the 26th annual CFSE is proceeding.
The good news is that China’s demand for imported seafood continues to grow in spite of the challenges associated with the Covid pandemic. Last year, for example, China’s reported seafood imports rose 15 percent to almost US$18 billion.
We apologize for any inconvenience this postponement will cause. Thank you for your understanding.
